Festive season cooking - Nutritious and healthy alternatives  (3 week course)

This course runs for three evenings over three weeks: Tuesday 21st November, Thursday 30th November, and Tuesday 5th December.

Let’s take the stress out of your planning and give you the skills and knowledge to entertain effortlessly with recipes that look impressive. KitchenJoy will get you into the Christmas spirit with some easy to follow recipes and homemade presents to help create your perfect yuletide. Our one day medicinal  cookery class is an introduction to nutritional cooking which incorporates the healthiest foods into exciting and tasty recipes in a simplistic way, providing an alternative choice on the festive season offerings.

You will learn to cook a wide range of simple, healthy dishes using fresh and easily available ingredients. You will discover the medicinal benefits of selected herbs and spices with an explanation of the importance of certain nutrient groups enabling you to make festive dishes with passion and fun.

This is a weekly course over three weeks:
The first week we shall be looking at Festive Starters.  Sample recipes include, Carrot, ginger & coconut soup, spiced cauliflower and quails eggs.
The second week focuses on Main Courses. Sample recipes include, Roast Duck stuffed with Christmas spices, truffle polenta chips, and celeriac puree.
The final week takes the stress out of desserts.  Sample recipes include, Gluten free mince pies, raw cacao walnut truffles & pomegranate rosemary spritzer.

Our hands-on cookery classes at Kitchen Joy’s Kitchen in Chiswick include the ingredients, food preparation and cooking equipment, and soft (do you need to say soft? just say drinks? sounds silly saying soft) drinks. You will prepare and cook dishes around the Kitchen Joy Island and can enjoy eating your dishes together with the group on the long dining table. There will also be some left over foods and festive gifts for you to take home to share with your loved ones.
